Diiringi dengan hujan Parenting School V kali ini berlangsung sukses. Kali ini topik yang dibahas adalah Bagaimana menjadi Orang Tua yang Cerdas dalam mendampingi anak. Menjadi orang tua tidak cukup hanya 'sembarangan saja'. Butuh kecerdasan. Apalagi di era yang semakin berkembang saat ini. Kalo ada anggapan bahwa menjadi orang tua bisa dilakukan sambil jalan atau alamiah saja, meski ada hal yang benar dilakukan, sudah pasti banyak kesalahan yang akan sering dibuat.

Ada seorang dosen di sebuah perguruan tinggi di Jakarta. Beliau mempunyai banyak anak. Semua anaknya akan dididik hingga tingkat pendidikan tinggi. Tapi bukan dalam rangka supaya mendapatkan jabatan dan pangkat yang tinggi. Tapi dosen tadi berharap besar dengan pendidikan yang tinggi itu kelak anak-anaknya akan menjadi suami atau istri yang cerdas bagi anak -anaknya.

Karena 'kekurangcerdasan' orang tua sering melakukan kesalahan yang dianggap hal yang benar dalam mendidik anak. Sering orang tua tidak menerapkan kedisplinan kepada anak dengan alasan kasihan, atau "Ah nanti anak kan ada masanya untuk Tahu". Anggapan ini adalah salah. Sekali kita tidak menerapkan disiplin hakekatnya kita sedang membentuk sebuah kebiasaan yang buruk. Seperti dalam hal bangun pagi, gosok gigi, kebersihan dan lain-lain.  Sering orang tua memaksakan anak untuk melakukan sesuatu tanpa diberi pemahaman dahulu. Akhirnya anak bak seperti robot yang manut sesuai dengan perintah. Tidak ada inisiatif. Mendidik kesabaran harus butuh kesabaran yang besar. Mendidik dengan marah bukan hal yang bijak. Boleh jadi anak tidak menuruti nasehat yang kita sampaikan dengan marah, namun justru cara marah yang mudah sekali mereka tiru.

Alhamdulillah banyak pencerahan bagi para orang tua wali. Terutama bagi masa depan anak-anak yang menjadi dambaan masa depan.

Mengasah Peduli dari Sisa Bencana

Cuaca yang sangat ekstrim akhir-akhir ini hampir sering terjadi. Panas sekali, tiba-tiba mendung kelam. Terus hujan disertai angin kencang. Banyak hal merespon keadaan cuaca ini. Bagi yang tubuhnya kurang stok imunitasnya, langsung deh sakit. Kondisi alam begitu juga. Banyaknya angin dan hujan deras akan ikut merubah kondisinya. Air yang melimpah mengalir menggerus lapisan tanah. Lapisan tanah menipis, pohon kurang kuat mencengkram tanah. Ditambah lagi angin kencang. Banyak pohon meski kelihatan kokoh bertumbangan tak berdaya. Tanaman padi di sawah dikoyak angin ambruk sebelum panen.

Senin, 22 Maret 2010, sebuah pemandangan menyedihkan. Saat menatap menara SDIT Alam Jogja ada yang aneh. Kepalanya terpenggal. Hah ? Dimanakah kepalanya ?

Ternyata kepala menara terjun bebas 10 meter dari berdirinya.  Ternyata, sore Ahadnya telah terjadi angin puting beliung yang menyertai hujan. Kepala menara tak kuat menahan diri. Sehingga terpenggal jatuh bebas.

Pohon-pohon bertumbangan tak kuasa menahan berat tubuhnya. Melihat kondisi lingkungan SDIT Alam yang berantakan ini, seluruh siswa dan ustadz/ah bersama bergotong royong bersih lingkungan.



Bersama mengasah peduli dan berempati dengan kondisi lingkungan SDIT Alam.

Untuk kemudian rasa peduli itu menjadi akhlaq yang akan membersamai selama hidupnya. Sehingga kehadiran di setiap tempat dan waktu menjadi kemanfaatan sekitarnya
